Weddings and Ceremonial Events – Q&A

We have recently registered on a number of websites aimed at connecting us with potential new clients looking for musicians for their weddings and ceremonies. During the sign-up processes we provided lots of helpful information – so helpful in fact that we thought it would be good to add it to our own website too! If there’s anything else you need to know please contact us and we’ll let you know (and update this post!).

How far in advance should I contact you if we would like to book you for our wedding?

At least a month in advance would be ideal, so that we can ensure all arrangements are in place for your special day (including custom music arrangements upon request).

What style of music do you offer for Weddings?

Ceremonial including fanfares, incidental (pop and classical), traditional (e.g. hymns, carols). We can perform with or without organ accompaniment.

Is it possible to request something that’s not in the repertoire?

Absolutely! We are very happy to arrange a piece or song for you upon request, but would ask that you give us as much notice as possible for this, and an additional arrangement fee might apply.

Can you travel?

Yes! We can travel Worldwide.

How much time do you need to prepare on the day of the event for our wedding?

Not long at all – we play acoustically so we just need to set up 4 music stands (and chairs if appropriate) and have a room where we can warm up on our instruments.

What if my timings change at our wedding after I’ve booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run-up to the event just let us know. However, we do allow for some flexibility within the day in terms of timings etc. as we know that schedules can go awry!

What is the length of time of the act?

We customise this to suit the client, so it depends on your requirements for your event.

Do you offer a Wedding Package?

Yes we do! We can play as little or as much as you would like, from entertaining your guests before the ceremony, opening / during / closing the ceremony, and entertaining your guests afterwards during family photos / drinks reception. We can even write a custom fanfare / music to be played on the day, and will print and frame this for you as a keepsake. More information can be found on our Weddings page.
